ABSTRACT

@#Introduction: This study aimed to explore the experience of family carer groups caring for individuals with intellectual disabilities (IDs) in the community contexts of Northeastern Thailand. Materials and Methods: We applied a focused ethnography method with a purposive sampling technique to conduct 35 in-depth interviews (of 14 individuals with IDs, 12 caregiving parents and nine disability group leaders, respectively), which were audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim, then translated from Thai to English. We used content analysis to code the interviews and develop themes. To evaluate the reliability of the coding attempt, we employed data triangulation techniques. Results: Family carer groups seemed to provide benefit to people with IDs and their families by offering support related to information records, the recovery of health and occupational skills development. Conclusion: Family carer groups are an integral part of efforts to support people with IDs. Notably, these groups may facilitate the early formation of long-term parent carer plans, which can better optimise the care and health outcomes of people with IDs in Thailand.

RESUMEN El presente artículo hace referencia al establecimiento de herramientas didácticas-metodológicas para la incorporación de contenidos relacionados con la inclusión de educandos con discapacidad en la clase de Educación Física, que permitan su transversalidad en el currículo de la carrera Licenciatura en Cultura Física. A partir de un diagnóstico realizado, se constata la falta de presencia en las asignaturas de la carrera de contenidos relacionados con el tema, siendo necesario su tratamiento para dar cumplimiento a los objetivos formativos, las habilidades profesionales específicas del licenciado y las metas educativas internacionales. Se emplearon los métodos del nivel teórico y empíricos como el trabajo con documentos y la entrevista, que posibilitaron que a partir del análisis de diferentes documentos como: Plan de Estudio E, programas de disciplinas y asignaturas, así como la bibliografía relacionada con la Educación Física Inclusiva. Se organizó un algoritmo metodológico que partió desde los objetivos generales del programa hasta la bibliografía de la disciplina. Este se ejemplifica en la disciplina Teoría y práctica de la Educación Física y posibilita que cada asignatura de la carrera contribuya a que el estudiante perciba qué actuación pedagógica se realiza, tomando en consideración la inclusión educativa. La investigación se realiza en un contexto en el que debe formar a sus educandos con un enfoque integral físico-educativo, donde se pondera la atención a la discapacidad en la clase de Educación Física, desde la formación del profesional.


RESUMO Este artigo refere-se ao estabelecimento de ferramentas didático-metodológicas para a incorporação de conteúdos relacionados com a inclusão de estudantes com incapacidades na aula de Educação Física, que permitem a sua transversalidade no currículo do Bacharelato em Cultura Física. A partir de um diagnóstico efetuado, confirmou-se a falta de presença de conteúdos relacionados com este tema, nas disciplinas no curso de licenciatura, sendo necessário o seu tratamento para cumprir os objetivos formativos, as competências profissionais específicas do licenciado e os objectivos educativos internacionais. Os métodos do nível teórico e empírico foram utilizados como o trabalho com documentos e a entrevista, o que tornou possível que a partir da análise de diferentes documentos tais como: Plano de Estudo E, programas de disciplinas e assuntos, bem como a bibliografia relacionada com a Educação Física Inclusiva. Foi organizado um algoritmo metodológico a partir dos objectivos gerais do programa até à bibliografia da disciplina. Isto é exemplificado na disciplina Teoria e Prática da Educação Física e torna possível que cada disciplina do curso contribua para a percepção do aluno sobre o que a ação pedagógica é realizada, tendo em consideração a inclusão educacional. A investigação é realizada num contexto em que deve formar os seus alunos com uma abordagem físico-educativa integral, onde a atenção à deficiência na classe de Educação Física é ponderada, a partir da formação do profissional.


ABSTRACT This article refers to the establishment of didactic-methodological tools for the incorporation of contents related to the inclusion of students with disabilities in the Physical Education class, which allow its transversality in the curriculum of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Culture. Based on a diagnosis carried out, the lack of presence of contents related to the topic in the subjects of the degree course was confirmed, being necessary its treatment in order to comply with the training objectives, the specific professional skills of the graduate and the international educational goals. Theoretical and empirical methods were used, such as the work with documents and the interview, which made it possible to analyze different documents such as: Syllabus E, programs of disciplines and subjects, as well as the bibliography related to Inclusive Physical Education. A methodological algorithm was organized starting from the general objectives of the program to the bibliography of the discipline. This is exemplified in the discipline Theory and Practice of Physical Education and makes it possible for each subject of the course to contribute to the student's perception of the pedagogical action carried out, taking into consideration educational inclusion. The research is carried out in a context in which it must train its students with an integral physical-educational approach, where the attention to disability in the Physical Education class is considered, from the formation of the professional.

RESUMEN El ser humano es una unidad biopsicosocial e histórica; como actor social es capaz de reflejar y reproducir en su pensamiento y conciencia la realidad circundante donde él mismo forma parte, así como ejercer en ella una acción transformadora llamada praxis. Esta se basa como problema en la falta de preparación de los profesores en cuanto a determinar los contenidos de la Recreación Física de acuerdo con las características reales del contexto comunitario y a las condiciones objetivas y subjetivas históricas determinadas. el propósito del artículo está en explicar el vínculo que tiene la educación y su incidencia en el profesor de Recreación Física, la cual tiene como objetivo fundamental resolver las limitaciones existentes en el programa de los combinados deportivos, a partir del contenido que se implemente, y articular las invariantes tanto vertical como horizontal, presentadas en las actividades físico-recreativas hacia la comunidad. La metodología consistió en un análisis del modo de actuación del profesor para planear en la práctica las actividades de acuerdo con el proyecto integrador de los combinados deportivos. El análisis demostró insuficiencias en la selección del contenido como herramienta dinamizadora dentro del contexto comunitario para conformar una cultura recreativa y educativa en el tiempo libre. Eso repercutió en el mejoramiento de la variable investigada en el 95 % de la muestra y se evaluó de muy adecuado. Basado en ese preexperimento, se concluyó la falta de preparación del profesor incide en la determinación del contenido de la Recreación Física para generar alternativas de forma educativa hacia una correcta utilización constructiva del tiempo libre de la comunidad.


RESUMO O ser humano é uma unidade bio-psico-social e histórica; como ator social é capaz de refletir e reproduzir no seu pensamento e consciência a realidade envolvente da qual faz parte, bem como de exercer nela uma ação transformadora chamada práxis. Isto baseia-se como um obstáculo na falta de preparação dos professores para determinar os conteúdos da Recreação Física de acordo com as características reais do contexto comunitário e as condições históricas objetivas e subjetivas determinadas. O objectivo consistia em resolver algumas das limitações existentes no Programa de Recreação Física, relacionadas com o conteúdo das atividades físico-recreativas como forma de educação para a comunidade, de acordo com as atuais mudanças nas indicações e de acordo com o carácter intencional, sistemático e orientado nesse sentido. A metodologia consistiu numa análise da forma de atuação do professor a fim de planear as atividades na prática de acordo com o projecto de integração dos desportos combinados. A análise mostrou insuficiências na seleção do conteúdo como instrumento dinamizador dentro do contexto comunitário para formar uma cultura recreativa e educativa em tempo livre. Isto teve um impacto na melhoria da variável investigada em 95% da amostra e foi avaliado como muito adequado. Com base neste pré-experimento, concluiu-se que a falta de preparação do professor afecta a determinação do conteúdo da Recreação Física para gerar alternativas de uma forma educativa para uma correta utilização construtiva do tempo livre da comunidade.


ABSTRACT The human being is a biopsychosocial and historical unit; as a social actor he is capable of reflecting and reproducing in his thinking and consciousness the surrounding reality of which he is a part, as well as exercising in it a transforming action called praxis. This is based as a problem on the lack of preparation of teachers in determining the contents of Physical recreation according to the real characteristics of the community context and to the objective and subjective historical conditions determined. The purpose of the article is to explain the link that education and its incidence have on the Physical recreation teacher, which has as a fundamental objective to solve the existing limitations in the program of the sport complex, from the content that is implemented, and to articulate the vertical and horizontal invariants, presented in the physical-recreational activities towards the community. The methodology consisted of an analysis of the teacher's way of acting in order to plan the activities in practice according to the integrating project of the combined sport complexes. The analysis showed insufficiencies in the selection of content as a dynamic tool within the community context to create a recreational and educational culture in free time. This had an impact on the improvement of the researched variable in 95% of the sample and was evaluated as very adequate. Based on this pre-experiment, it was concluded that the lack of preparation of the teacher affects the determination of the content of Physical recreation to generate alternatives in an educational way towards a correct constructive use of the community's free time.

@#Thailand promotes the regular engagement of physical activity (PA) among its older population to gain health benefits. However, the majority of this group does not achieve sufficient levels of PA to meet the minimum guidelines recommended by Thailand’s National Health Policy. This study explores how older Thai adults living in rural community context, southern Thailand perceive participation in PA along with the barriers that enable them to participate regularly in PA. Methods: Five focus group discussions were investigated consisting of older members living in Muslim and Buddhist communities in southern Thailand. Thematic analysis was used to analyse the data. Results: All older participants were aware of the health benefits of PA. Forty - three considered themselves to be active as part of their daily activities. The kinds of PA they practised were based on local lifestyles and individual convenience. Biological, psychological, social and environmental factors were revealed as motivations and barriers regarding consistent PA. Conclusion: This paper provides a conceptual understanding about the perceptions of PA among older people living in rural communities of southern Thailand. The findings have implications for health care professional who care for older groups. The provision of needs and supports related to their backgrounds and lifestyles could reduce barriers and increase accessible resources to achieve effective levels. The information should be valuable to those interested in designing suitable interventions to increase participation in PA.

ABSTRACT

Se analiza la incidencia de un conjunto de variables relacionales y del entorno social construido que actúan como factores de riesgo en procesos de desadaptación social de adolescentes en un barrio de Temuco, Chile. Como técnicas para la producción de datos, se emplearon: la observación participante, las entrevistas focalizadas, el análisis documental, los talleres de discusión grupal y el análisis estructural de redes. En un análisis en progreso de los datos, bajo la lógica de construcción de teoría desde la base, se caracteriza la dinámica barrial en cinco dimensiones: convivencia comunitaria, acción institucional en la comunidad, norma comunitaria, abordaje familiar del comportamiento infantil y adolescente y apropiación del espacio público. Se propone que estas dimensiones en el polo negativo actuarían como variables criminógenas en el espacio comunitario.


This article analyses the incidence of a group of relational and social context constructed variables that act as risk factors in processes of social maladjustment of adolescents in a neighborhood belonging to Temuco city, Chile. The techniques used to produce the data were participant observation, focalized interviews, document analysis, group discussion workshops and structural analysis of networks. In a progressive analysis of the data, using grounded theory, the neighborhood dynamics is characterized by five dimensions: community cohabitation, institutional action in the community, community norm, family approach to child and adolescent behavior; and community taking of the public space. It is proposed that these dimensions in its negative pole would act, within community space, as conducive to crime variables.
